One More Time One More Place

Wow - it's been a minute. I feel that 2017 is the year I get back into writing. Maybe not forever, but at least this year. I need something to keep me grounded, and I love this band and the community that welcomed me back in 2008. It's my happy place. Just listening to really any of their songs gives me peace.

However, as I sit down to my laptop tonight, I am not hit with sudden inspiration. I want to write but I'm struggling. Any suggestions to move me forward or is it best to sit and wait until I'm ready?

...so maybe I'll finally be able to get back into this whole writing thing!

I've been without a true, blue laptop for months now. In the interim I've just been using my iPhone. While really great in general, it is not a laptop. I'm so excited to have something solid in my hands again.

I got an ACER Aspire V5. It is a laptop but the screen is touch-friendly. Which works well with the Windows 8 operating system that I had to purchase. Unfortunately they don't even let you do Windows 7 anymore so I really just had to make a decision of touch screen or not with Windows 8. I think I made a good choice!

***Update***

Returned the ACER due to wireless connectivity issues and got an HP ENVY dv7. No touchscreen but better overall. :)

I wanted to give a shout out to all those fansons who have joined me on a weight loss journey previously. I've managed to keep off over 25 lbs in the last year.

But I still have more to lose.

If you are interested in doing a Holiday Slim-Down challenge, I have created a Yahoo Group to keep us all accountable. I find that the setup at this site is slightly better for sending messages and keeping a weight table than LJ ever will be. That doesn't mean I won't post awards and such at the fanson_losers site anymore, just that the majority of daily/weekly discussion and activity will occur at the Yahoo site.
